Surveying Tough Surfaces
When the road gets rough, the data shouldn’t
XenomatiX’ team travelled to its partner Roadscan in Perth, Australia, to equip a rugged Toyota Hilux 4×4 with XenoTrack, creating a flexible road inspection platform capable of surveying roads with challenging surfaces, including gravel, cobblestone, and unpaved roads.

XenoTrack captures detailed road condition data while the vehicle is in motion. Its 6D scanning technology provides a comprehensive digital model of the road, supporting accurate road condition assessment and helping road authorities make better-informed decisions about maintenance. XenoTrack can collect reliable data even when roads subject the vehicle to significant movement and vibration.
On remote and unpaved roads, strong vibrations, bumps, and vehicle movement can significantly affect conventional inspection systems. Vehicles travelling over gravel or rough terrain are exposed to impacts and vibration, which can influence the quality and reliability of measurements. XenoTrack is built to operate reliably under these conditions.
Its robust 6D scanning technology, based on true solid state lidar, maintains accurate road measurements even when operating on highly uneven surfaces and under strong vehicle vibration. This means that challenging road conditions do not have to compromise data quality.
