Measure Pavement Condition Index Accurately
XenomatiX measures pavement condition index (PCI) using its 6D Road Scanning system, which captures a fully georeferenced digital model of the road surface, including detailed 3D geometry, reflectivity, and high-resolution imagery. Unlike conventional systems, 6D Road Scanning digitizes the full width of the road lane, accurately compensating for vehicle movement and allowing measurements at any speed — from zero up to 90 km/h. The system can be easily installed on any vehicle using a standard roof rack, making it highly versatile for a range of fleet types.
Collected data is processed using advanced rule-based and AI-powered algorithms that detect and classify pavement distresses such as potholes and all major crack types — longitudinal, transverse, diagonal, and alligator/block cracks — while measuring their size, severity, and density. From this analysis, XenomatiX generates PCI calculations that meet ASTM standards, along with certified IRI measurements (AASHTO), rutting, and cross-slope metrics. All results can be seamlessly integrated into GIS or Pavement Management Systems.
By combining sub-millimeter accuracy, full-lane coverage, vehicle flexibility, and automated analysis, XenomatiX delivers PCI measurements that are repeatable, reliable, and fully actionable, helping infrastructure managers optimize maintenance, extend road lifespan, and improve safety.
